2008 Illness

This series of work is inspired by my experience in a sheltered workshop for the mentally disordered. Anyone there in any minute can shout, or cry, or burst into laughter, or squat down, or run away. What they do seems abnormal but is perfectly normal in the workshop.

Everyone has his own reason for being ‘abnormal’; some of them involve sad stories. Since I believe in physiological psychology, I don’t associate the reason for their illnesses with the social environment. However, their illnesses indeed become worse in our city.
